Get Punk'd!

This week, we are drawing our hair inspiration from the wrong side of the tracks: The Age of The Punk.

Hang tight, its time to break the rules...!

Whether it’s original punk duo Sid and Nancy, the legendary Westwood, or the disheveled Mohawks seen on the runways at Red Label and Wang, take a moment to glance through our punky montage.

Be inspired… Amen Vivienne.

You don’t have to go totally wild to look a little wild! Pixie Geldof and Kristen Stewart show you how it’s done.

Dip a toe in the water with these street style pioneers

Go for disheveled all-over volume- anything too structured and you’re going to look like you’ve got tangled up in the early eighties- and not in a good way. Think less faux-mohawk and more all-over texture. As far as colour goes, the bolder the better.

Gone are the days of sugar water and beer (yes, really). Thanks to Bumble and bumble, there are some incredible products on the market to help you create a modern, matte texture. Bumble and bumble Sumo-tech (£19.00) and Gelliac (£19.00) are both great products to get stuck into with your hands allowing you to really work into the hair and form the shape that you want. You’ll get super-strong hold but still maintain malleability.
