Sexy Boy

Boys On Film

“The ideal man, masculine charm”(Sexy Boy, Air)

The Autumn Winter Catwalks welcomed a new breed of Sexy Boy: Structured, yet touchably disheveled. We’ve picked out some of the key Spring trends for your delectation. Feed on this...

The Forward Sweep

The forward-swept styles were a recurring theme at AW 2010 London Fashion Week. Gucci, Burberry and Dior all sent their models down the runway sporting tousled, textured styles with short sides and length throughout the upper section. One of the sexiest trends around, it’s all about a fearless, youthful attitude. Be nonchalant. Be moody. Oh, sweet rebellion!
J'Adore: Dior
Scruff it at Burberry: A good kind of dirt...

Product

Bumble and bumble Surf Spray (£17.50) Surf Spray is great for creating that sexy slept-in, windswept texture.

Bumble and bumble Sumo Tech (£19.00) Glue-like hold with a matte finish. This is the best product to ensure that your style stays put without looking like you’ve styled it. Lets face it, caring has never been cool.

The Modern Bowl

Fringe Benefits with JW Anderson....

Geek Chic at Jill Sanderms

The Modern Bowl prides itself on a wickedly precise cut, high shine and confidence in the shed load. Agnes Deyn revived the cut for women in early summer last year, and now boys, it’s your turn. It’s like a hybrid of the early Beatles with a bookish twist. A good, sharp cut is compulsory: It will not only mean you can leave it a bit longer before trims, but will also make it a whole lot easier to work into and scruff up as much as you see fit. Geek chic at it’s finest. Smoke behind the bike sheds anyone?

A welcomed blast from the past: The Beatles

Hide-me lengths...

The Modern Bowl can be scruffed up and textured at the root a la Topman...

Product

Bumble and bumble Shine Spray (£27.50) With a cut this sharp, who wouldn’t want hair that makes a mirror jealous? Spray on dry hair and you’re good to go.

Bumble and bumble Brilliantine (£16.00) The ultimate in hair-polish. Smooth through dry hair with fingers.

Bumble and bumble Straight (£20.00) Apply to damp hair before blow-drying for the straightest, smoothest hair around. Kinder to hair than GHDs!

Slicked Back

Back it up with body: Paul Smith

Proving that 'off-the-face' doesnt have to mean 'flat-to-the-head' at Vivienne Westwood..

Smooth Operator: Bill Tornade

As if in retaliation to The Forward Sweep, the slicked back styles seen at Bill Tornade, Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith were the perfect antidote to the more grungy styles around: The definition of a gentleman. The desired look is sexy rather than stiff (a la River Phoenix). Its distinguished, masculine elegance at it’s finest, but still with that youthful finish that begs to be touched.

River Phoenix:

Product

Bumble and bumble Sumo Wax (£19.00) Slick your hair back in style with Sumo Wax. As the name suggests, this will give you hold like no other, yet maintains flexibility and gives you hi-shine and texture.

Bumble and bumble Holding Spray (£15.00) Mist Holding Spray onto the style to maintain shape and tame those stubborn strays. Holding Spray offers medium hold but avoids that 80’s ‘rock solid’ look. It gives workable, brushable control. (Also available in extra-strength)

Will you be trying any of these out?

Oh, and one more thing: HAPPY EASTER FROM SULIS! --;-(@ <<(its a rose)

More soon... xx
